The Elizabeth Bard Memorial Hospital was built in 1902 by Senator Thomas Bard for his brother Cephas Bard, M.D., who died there four months later. Located in a residential neighborhood, with an ocean view; it is a fine example of Spanish Revival architecture and features a domed bell tower.
