San Jon Maintenance Yard

Situated above the Pacific Ocean, the San Jon Maintenance Yard is a complex of modern industrial buildings on an almost five acre site housing many functions of the City of Ventura's Public Works Department, including a building for administration offices, garage for servicing the city's fleet of 600 vehicles (including police cars), facilities shops for signs, water, building/tree/parks maintenance, a city warehouse, open-air vehicle storage sheds for the city's 100 heavy pieces of equipment for parks, streets and water/sewer line servicing, fueling stations, an employee parking lot for 100 vehicles and a "backyard" (behind the complex) next to a storm drain channel for temporary storage of mulch, trash and other debris.
